There’s no legitimate way, no, but there was this kid in my high school who had these weird bootleg cables.

Somehow, they allowed for crossing from gen 2 to gen 3. He was a clever bastard though. Charged a couple euros for every transfer.

If I remember and understand correctly, it didn’t really transfer it, it just scanned the gen 2 pokemon on the save file and altered the gen 3 game’s save file to have the exact same pokemon in it. Even the trainer ID matched.

I still have his phone number.
