Tito4re has
earned a following for his Youtube clips, which see his pouring
molten copper on everything from food to Nike Air
Jordans, golf balls, and Nokia cell phones. But
while many items he features on the channel — like that Nokia phone —
are utterly destroyed after coming into contact with the super-hot
metal, McDonald’s Big Mac burger seems to be made of stronger stuff. After
heating up the copper, Tito begins slowly pouring it over
the top of the burger. As
it hits the bun, flames erupt immediately. But strangely, within a
second or so of catching fire, the bun seems to put the flames out. The bun
remains charred, but the rest of the burger is completely
unscathed. Under the bun, the beef patty still looks untouched, as do the lettuce, cheese, and the additional piece of bread in the center. So
Tito starts pouring again, directly onto the beef patty. This is when
the truly disturbing part starts, as the molten copper looks to be
repelled by the burger, bouncing off of it onto the metal plate it sits
on.The beef blackens slightly and slowly, but looks more like it’s being slightly overcooked on a grill. When
Tito further deconstructs the burger, removing the well-done patty, the
middle piece of bread, and the second (completely untouched) beef
patty, fire dances around the meal but doesn’t destroy it.In
fact, the pickles don’t seem to burn at all, retaining their perfect
light green color even as the other ingredients slowly char. Finally,
after two minutes and regular flipping, most of the burger seems
blackened to a crisp, with only the pickles withstanding for so long.
