The Book of Life: Concept art = Movie
It took me several seconds to realize the first pic was concept art and not some altered version of the movie still. Holy crap.
What’s incredible about this is that when Gutierrez first made the announcement for the movie’s production, he said he was “tired of animated movies looking completely different from the concept art, and how the concepts were always more beautiful.“ and how he wanted to ”make an animated movie that looked exactly like the concept art”.
and he DID. And I have SO MUCH RESPECT FOR THAT. It’s literally jaw-dropping.
