It’s so crazy that we had such a massive reaction to Grape-kun passing away, both in Japan and in the west. So many posts, retweets, new art, homages, comments by the zoo staff and kemono friends voice actors and fans. It wasn’t treated like “just the death of some old meme animal”, people were genuinely upset and sad, and he will be forever associated with the show.

What a legend. You really became a Friend, Grape-kun.
