Something really bothers me about the robots in The Matrix.
They have a form of fusion, right? It was mentioned in the movie.

I’m just gonna assume the robots had a surplus of energy from fusion and started getting bored so they cultivated humans and plugged them into a virtual universe for entertainment, which was misinterpreted by survivors as a form of energy source.
Believe it or not robots have actual decent moral values and won’t let humans kill themselves because of those clouds no matter how much pain they caused them in the past. They’re above that.
They keep them alive with a bullshit battery excuse because in the end life is precious and all that noise.
