((No worries! :3 I’m happy that you want to get into them! I’d recommend just starting to listen to some of their songs. There are literally thousands of songs on youtube that have videos that go along with them. A good start would be to look up a certain vocaloid’s songs and listening to a bunch of them. There’s a ton of genres (and voices) to go through and you’ll eventually pick out the one’s you like. That’s really how it all started for me. I would browse youtube for Miku videos and through that I found the other vocaloids and began listening to those as well. The music videos that go along with the songs are usually appealing as well. Keep in mind though, there are definitely some grimdark songs out there that get incredibly dark so if you’re scared of that kind of thing I’d stay away from that. Usually you can tell by the tone of the song and the video though so it’s pretty easy to avoid them if you don’t like it (Most of the time, I’m looking at you “Happiness and Peace of Mind Committee”). If you’d like you can even check out my frequently updated vocaloid playlist on Youtube:

My playlist

I update it regularly with songs that I like (and I’ll also pull some songs from it for the songs of the week). If you wanna do that I’d suggest putting it on shuffle and trying to find what songs and voices you like. I encourage you to explore on your own still because everyone has different tastes and I do tend to favor some vocaloid’s voices over others. If you do find a song though, it’s always a good idea to check out songs by the same producer or the recommended videos on the side. (The producer’s name is usually found in the Youtube credits, I personally like Deco*27 and Lamaze-P a lot!) If you want to know more about the characters themselves a good place to look is the Vocaloid Wiki. The fun thing about the Vocaloids is that none of them really have “official” personalities aside from a few features so you can decide what they’re like on your own and make your own headcanons. Good luck my friend! Here’s hoping you find some fun vocaloid tunes that you enjoy!))
