Nope. Miyamoto created a lot of amazing things, such as Mario and Zelda, but the credit for Pokemon goes to Tajiri.
Then what was all that stuff about him drawing inspiration from catching bugs or whatever?
Tajiri showed the idea to Shigs and he helped make it work before going to the higher-ups to show them the project.
