Hey folks. More updates to come soon. Ponycon is over now and I’ll have some spare time after a much needed week-long break to tell my story again. But I want to get something important out of the way first.

Ever since the announcement of a certain spinoff show Hasbro announced some time ago,  I’ve been getting questions like “MS, how do you feel about all this?” or “MS, what will you do now?”

To keep a long story short, I was not pleased when I first heard bout it. But my thoughts aren’t important. What matters is that the show is indeed happening, and my opinions are not going to change that.

That said, I gave the second question a fair amount of thought. For a while I considered staying the course and completely ignoring the show when it airs. I could risk Hasbro’s ire and a potential Cease and Desist notice, and just keep on truckin’. I also thought about simply quitting the comic altogether. What would be the point in continuing now? Most likely Habro will be stepping on my toes in various ways as I try to continue updating this blog, and I’d just be in for one headache after the next.

Ultimately, I decided that I’m just having too much fun planning this story and fleshing out the world, and I want to be able to share it with you all. So I intend to keep doing that. The best compromise then is to shift gears a little bit and change the name of this blog in order to avoid confusion and possible legal problems. In about a week, Equestrian Girls will have a new name. The URL of this page will change as well. So if you happen to drop by and find that the page is down, fret not. I’ll post the new name and link to the tumblr on my Deviantart page (http://megasweet.deviantart.com/) and on my General tumblr page (http://megasweetspot.tumblr.com/).
