My lesbian cousin once complained to me that as she went farther north, her flannel ceased to be a useful signal.

I’m sure there’s a fascinating paper to be written on the aesthetic overlap between American lesbian culture and Canadian lumberjack culture - but I’m sure as heck not qualified to write it!
