SCP Foundation Fanart: Groups of Interest Logos (Part 2) for the upcoming Escape From Site-19 game. Go check it out! It features professional photography and artwork of countless SCPs and GOI from the grander SCP universe, some of which are sure to be in your favourites, and others that you have yet to discover…
Prometheus Labs: The impossible triangle represents the seemingly illogical nature of anomalies, waiting to be deciphered and exploited by science. The flame is a symbol of Prometheus, the embodiment of innovation. The broken circle represents scientific breakthrough and the rebellion against the limits placed upon mankind. Three is a repeating motif in the design (triangle, three breaks in the circle and three pieces in each break) which is a reference to the amazing Third Law series.
The Factory: The silhouette of The Factory makes up the logo of the organisation itself. Solid black shapes, sharp edges, and the dark scheme imply the harsh conditions inside The Factory and the horrors that it produces. The massive, blood-red sunset represents the suffering of the enslaved workers, and the eternity and inescapability of their fate.
GRU Division ‘P’: The design denotes a Soviet faction, with the hammer and sickle on a red star. The wings subtly indicates Divison P’s aim- to help the Soviet Union ascend to new heights as a world power through the anomalous use of psychotronics to defy natural limits.
Dr. Wondertainment: The aesthetic of a children’s toy company, but at the same time a sense of mysticism. Purple both eludes mystery and is a cheerful colour that young children can connect to. The geometric patterns of the circles and squares represent artistry. The meaning behind the ringed planet is twofold: One, it emphathises the scale and importance of the company to the collectors of the world. Two, it represents significance of the Wondertainment title, passed down since the beginning of cilvilisation as the embodiment of human creativity.
Chaos Insurgency: The CI directly opposes the SCP Foundation, and hence, their logo is based on the concept of anti-Foundation, with the three lines reversed. The red spikes point outward from a core of the same colour, implying rebellion and breaching containment. Sharp, interlocking black rings represent weaponry, stemmed from the CI’s tendency to utilise anomalies for their own benefits, as opposed to the Foundation’s ethics of containment and study.
Manna Charitable Foundation: The branching tree represents MCF’s goal of reaching out to help those in need. The hands pouring forth water from a bowl references the legend in which Manna climbed up to the heavens to bring water for their suffering people. The green and light blue colour scheme denotes MCF’s comparatively pacifist way of operation compared to most other GOI.
ORIA: Many Islamic insignia feature quotes in Arabic as well as religious symbolism. In this case, the national emblem of Iran is surrounded by a pattern similar to those found in mosques, denoting both nationalism and a sense of isolation from outside forces, while a traditional prayer is featured underneath. Green, a colour used by the Prophet Muhammad, represents heaven, instilling the belief that the ORIA is powerful and righteous in their beliefs.
Global Occult Coalition: As a division of the United Nations, it is only fitting that their logo uses the same general shape and blue colour scheme. The laurel represent peaceful normalcy, much like in the original UN insignia. The five stars shining above denote the organisation’s five goals- Survivial, Concealment, Protection, Destruction and Education- and they guide the GOC’s mission with their light. The flame wrapping around the globe exemplifies the GOC’s goal of protecting the world through necessary destruction. However, in an outsider’s eyes it can also be interpreted as the GOC’s tendency to play with fire, which endangers the very world that they defend.
Unusual Incidents Unit: An observer of the world and all its secrets, and not just a useless bystander. It’s their role to play the shadow organisation that perpetuates conspiracies, and to try their best to protect humanity, all the while running on depleted manpower and being a laughing stock for other factions. the Eye of Providence is a symbol of the Illuminati and conspiracies, but it also represents the role that the UIU plays in the anomalous world. The eagle, icon of the United States, grasps a sword in one talon and a UFO in the other, exemplifying the FBI organisation’s competency in battling hostile anomalous forces.
A huge thanks to everyone who gave input! This has been tons of fun and I learned about more cool GOI lore.
