Today on Transgender Day of Remembrance, I’d like you to remember both the victims of violence and bigotry that the day signifies as well as the steps our society has taken for the better. We do not yet have all of our rights, but there is more good in the world every day. Whether you are out like me, in the closet, uncertain, or anything else, you are a valid member of the community and we are here for you in spirit and in society, always. Take today to be yourself and love yourself; the universe appreciates you, no matter what.
