#oh god#she doesn’t even make it out of the door she hits the ground in a very final thud#the guy in the front tells jimmy to stay with tony and then gets out and he barely lasts longer than she did#jimmy shoves tony down. makes him keep his head down.#a good soldier keeping the civilian safe.#he gets out to do what he has to and when you see the bullet holes tear through the side of the vehicle#a mere second after the door closes#jimmy is gone.#he never got the picture he wanted with Tony.#you don’t understand.#Tony has to live with HIS WEAPON SYSTEMS#HIS EXPLOSIVES#being what helped kill these soldiers.#and he lives with this. with shrapnel near his heART FROM HIS OWN BOMB.#but what will haunt and wound him most#is the three people he laughed with in the cab of that humvee (i think t’s a humvee)#the lIVES OF SOLDIERS#that didn’t make it out#it’s been confirmed they all died. the three from the vehicle.#also i looked it up: yes it’s a humvee.#no tony doesn’t see himself or any of the avengers or even shield agents as soldiers#they’re not fighting a war they’re just stopping strange occurences. he doesn’t see himself as a hero.#the heroes are these three.#the heroes are soldiers.
