venomlynx said: @apolloandellipses finally, I never said it passed harmlessly through. THEY did. Fucking Christ, you say you had no issues teading it but you literally don’t remember the last fucking thing you read
venomlynx said: @apolloandellipses so once again, let’s talk about reading comprehension
venomlynx said: @apolloandellipses they literally said earlier in their ramble it killed a lady so fast they were dead before hitting the ground. That is DIRECTLY contradicting their literal last sentence
apolloandellipses said: @venomlynx I didn’t say you were incapable I said that’s where the problem was. And they didn’t contradict themselves- if you don’t have a respirator, you’re dead within minutes. And fatality rates are estimated at 25%-75% so clearly it CAN kill people. There’s no “harmless passage” about that. So yeah, I’m going to believe the post, because if I never actually had any issues understanding it, and it matches everything available on the subject online, why not?
venomlynx said: @apolloandellipses do let’s talk about reading comprehension. Because homie is actually a contradicting mess, and you want to believe that the guy talking actual sense is incapable of reading comprehension. The like, one of three skills this autistic manchild excels at. Ok
venomlynx said: @apolloandellipses “literally the only thing that will save you is being kept alive artificially via external respirator machines until the venom wears off” That isn’t saying I will die to other venoms, it’s saying it harmlessly passes
venomlynx said: @apolloandellipses that’s literally not what they said. They straight said a poison that apparently can kill quickly will slowly kill you in the same post. Do not try to defend this garbage, especially since they’re speaking about a creature that can’t actually produce that much venom to have an effect on someone faster thsn over the course of several days. Cone snail venom *by volume* is some of the most deadly. But the stinger is so small you rarely get a lethal dose
apolloandellipses said: @venomlynx this is a reading comprehension problem. The post explains that “if given help instantly, a person can be helped with paralysis-type poison if they’re kept breathing artificially, BUT the other poisons kill a person dead before that because there are no antivenoms because they’re so varied snail to snail and there are more than one in a single snail anyway.” The post is exaggerated, yes, but it’s exaggerated in the telling not the internal logic.
