chefpyrosjunk-deactivated201707: 1. All the kiddos.
I’m giving ya the surnames too but not gonna bother with their meanings because feck you. Unless I do. Also because of feck you ù .ú
- Emily Anne Hawkins: “Rival” and “Grace”. It sounded good. Plot shit probably.
- Irene Daniels: “Peace”. In English, it has the same phonetic pronunciation as the 愛(love) and 鈴(bell) kanji. Plot shit.
- Rosemary Owens: Either Rose+Mary or “Dew of the sea”, like the flower. Sounded good and fitted her interest in gardening.
- Cameron Morris: “Crooked river”. Reference to the general area where the story takes place.
- Howard Norton: “High Guard”. Symbolic since he watches out for the younger kids and is protective of them.
- Jocelyn Stonewell: “Member of the Gauts tribe”. An ironic choice as she is neither goth nor German; much like my own name, and as a final addage to this self-indulgent reference to myself, she’s Mexican.
- Gertrude Stilhardt: “Strong spear”. Sounded good. Stilhardt is a name I came up with by combining “stil” and “hart”, meaning “stylish”.
- Melville Peterson: “Bad settlement”. The name wasn’t chosen for meaning, rather as a reference to Herman Melville for plot shit.
- Robert Stonewell: “Bright glory”. The meaning was mostly an afterthought, I just went with the one that sounded the most like a dedicated young man with no characteristics.
The Stonewell surname is given to all orphans without one. - Alice Graham: “Noble appearance”. Plot shit.
