Have you considered that the butchering is the reason that the PS2/Wii versions received higher scores? "Trimming the fat", as the saying goes.

Son, Mazuri was straight up used in the teaser trailer and then never showed up if you got the Wii version.

Also the acts’ score is based entirely on time instead of also taking into account rings and enemy kills, which the next gens did. If there’s one thing they did right it was making the medal-collecting optional.
