
There’s a strange noise coming from the ocean floor in a remote area near the Arctic. Local Inuit described the noises as ‘pings,’ ‘hums,’ or ‘beeps,’ and noted that the sounds are scaring away local sea mammals and wildlife. Theories on the source of the sound range from an iron mining corporation to submarines to secret military experiments, but so far nobody knows what it really is. Source
