As a one true bookworm, Melville spends most of the time with his face stuck to a book, with his preferred material being the natural sciences as well as stories featuring the principles he currently studies.

Being such a regular user of the library, he has extensive knowledge of the collection, and thus has become an assistant of sorts to Mr. Reese.

When not at the library, he usually can be seen hanging out with Irene, Howard, Rosemary and Robert.
