OK, I googled “Red feathery swimmy thing” and this is what i found.

This is a Red Feather Star, a member of the Crinoid family and a close relative to regular seastars, It’s long feathery arms help it to filter particles of food out of the water and allow it to swim (see above).

It’s harmless, but I will admit it is rather spooky looking…
