Back when I was learning acronym slang I was chatting with someone who went “brb” and I just thought they were cold cuz it was during winter, so I asked and got no answer until two hours later and then they said they had gone to the store for a new coat.

And for a long time I basically thought brb meant “man it’s cold, hang on gotta go buy a coat”
