rithmatical: yugioh > magic: the gathering
“When a trashcan card like Rescue Cat has become so powerful, I really wish plebs didn’t invent Synchros. Duel Monsters was a mistake” - Kazuki Takahashi
Kind of a lame comparison though. All card games have always had examples of trash cards suddenly becoming broken as shit once newer cards that interact well with them are made.
Plus Duel Monsters was originally an MTG homage anyways in the manga.
Yugioh is like, unreasonably broken and imbalanced though. There are very few competitively viable decks nowadays and it’s virtually impossible to play unless you want to shell out an absurd amount of money.
I just wanted to see Gear’s reaction to that snide little ask, heheh.
… Wow. Woooooow.
You just described every cardgame with a competitive aspect EVER.
Besides, judging a cardgame by its tournament scene is a huge disservice to the casual gamers that give no shits about tournaments or ‘competitively viable decks’.

DC ya fell straight for the b8 m8 :y
