i have started watching Friends all the way from the beginning and in the seventh episode Joey tells Ross he is “in the friendzone" and i thought huh that’s weird i didn’t think "friendzone" as an expression had been around that long i thought it was like a mid 00s thing so i checked and apparently the expression originated from that very episode of Friends how weird is that
