How did you become as awesome as you are?

This is gonna sound weird, but bear with me.

I was 14. In those days, I was shy as fuck, never spoke a word, and was entirely devoid of confidence in my social, mental and physical skills alike.

Then one day, we were told we’d be doing a school play. I got the part of a woman completely unlike myself. She was so confident, spoke her mind about everything, never fearing what others might think of it. I got so into the role. I loved the pure strength the character radiated. Once it was over, I didn’t want to stop being her, I didn’t want to be that shy girl again.

So I didn’t.
