I drew a Delphox because it’s really growing to me. I think it’s become my favorite starter Pokémon, or even one of my all-time favorites (to the point I’d even consider getting a plushy of it).

Honestly, I don’t care at all for it’s pre-evolution, Braixen. But let me explain to you why I really, really like Delphox.

Unlike it’s pre-evolution, that looks very feminine (despite the male to female ratio of this species being 87.5%-12.5% (I suppose to hinder the player from breeding a bunch of starters early in the game)), Delphox looks very angrogynus and could be interpreted as either a male (as a mage) or a female (as a witch), which I find to be a great design choice (in this pic I interpreted it as a female, since the one I own ingame is female).

Furthermore, it seems to stimulate your imagination, since many didn’t like it’s design when the design was first leaked and made up their own designs. While I don’t agree with them, it’s nice to see them come up with neat ideas.

Another thing people seem to complain about with Delphox is that it’s not as adorable as it’s pre-evolution. Bullshit, this thing’s cute as hell, just look at this pic! Again, all you need is a bit of imagination. Never hurt anyone.
