While I often seem to be associated with having a “no-nonsense personality,” from my point of view, I seem to engage in quite a lot of nonsense.
So either I don’t quite understand the meaning of the phrase due to my blissfully foreign upbringing, or everyone who has ever referred to me as having such a personality is a big fat liar.

I knew what the 3 laws were, just hadn’t ever heard them referred to as a specific title or official thing. But either way they would’ve been silly and restrictive.
To be fair, 90% of Asimov’s writing is demonstrating how useless his own three laws are in practice.

Plus it works with positronic brains, which are fictional. No way to implement them in hard with actual technology.
His books were NOT about how useless the three laws were. Every instance of his stories were about how the laws were misinterpreted by humans, or the consequences of attempting to override them.
And zed, the laws are not restrictive. Might I recommend you pick up a copy of the original “I, Robot” and give it a read. It’s excellent stuff.
