Hey guys,
I’m sure many of you have followed Grey DeLisle’s tumblr , regarding her charity voice role request. You may recognize her voice for her famous role as Daphne Blake, Vicky, Azula, Frankie Foster, Arhkam City’s Catwoman, Sam Manson, and many more. But my favorite role of all time is Frida Suarez from El Tigre, and thanks to my brother, he bought me a voice request as my Xmas, best Bro’ Ev’ah!
Took me a while to decide on a proper message after choosing Frida, until I reminded myself on the El Tigre easter eggs found in The Book of Life, plus her role as Grandmami Sanchez, thus,I finally scripted the best message i came up for Frida.
Days later after the purchase, my brother received a response from Murry, assumed to be Grey’s manager I believed. he said Grey normally records the messages from her computer, but after reading the lines and the nature behind the request, she was moved and decided to have it done at a proffessional audition studio. I mean… wow, coming from her, it would’ve cost extra to do such a big change of pace, but that was more bang for my brother’s buck.
When I first heard it, I was in awe, she really gave Frida a more latino voice than she used to do during the show, but I guess voicing in the book of Life really done her wonders.
Without further ado, enjoy Frida’s point of view through the Book of Life, and Jorge, thanks for bringing your life long project into reality! XD
