Seriously, this showcases so many aspects of Alphonse’s personality perfectly: More levelheaded than his brother BUT at the same time no less passionate. It shows that he’s CLEARLY PISSED at Tucker for his deplorable deed but Al just controls his emotions better than Ed does.
And that in one little (but significant!) scene. Arakawa is really something.
I definitely loved that line from Al. It was just so absolutely perfect. You know that if Tucker had said even one more word, Al would slam his metal fist straight into that son of a bitch’s head. Everything about him screamed, “Shut the fuck up or die.” What’s really great about it is that that’s just such a stark contrast compared to how Al usually acts. It really is just very well done.

This is my favorite scene in all of television. This boy and this girl can’t stand each other. They fight every day. They tease and mock each other for all hours. And yet they care so much for each other that when one is hurting, the other is always there, and to me that’s a perfect relationship. Even though they fight, they still care.
