You can be a good artist. You can do it. 

And some artists- maybe many, even- seem to be reluctant to accept one simple fact that is also related to this subject: content is the most important factor by far, when it comes to appeal. It doesn’t matter how detailed an image is, or how much time and effort went into it- something simpler with a broader appeal will obviously always get more attention. And there’s nothing wrong with that. :u 

So if you’re an artist, either draw for yourself or draw for others to appreciate, or both, but don’t assume everyone’s going to appreciate one thing over another just because it was more time-consuming and difficult to make.
