The unspoken goal of political correctness it to make everything completely boring.

stunnerdude:

It’s funny how Americans find everything offensive now. They miss out on a lot of humor for the sake of being politically correct. And that saddens me, mostly because I seek american entertainment more than Latin American, because it’s made with far more production quality.

I miss when we had cartoons like Speedy Gonzales. I mean, he’s still there, but not as he used to be. A lot of Speedy Gonzales cartoons were a parody of Mexicans crossing the border, I didn’t realize that as a kid, but when I realized that was the case I found them even more hilarious than before.

Every day you see people getting offended by things like “OMG! This video game only has ONE [insert ethnicity] character in it! That’s racist!”

And I’m just sitting here laughing my ass off when I see this:

Just enjoy things and don’t take them that seriously.

And I’m not speaking only for myself here. A lot of friends and I agree on this. Because believe it or not, stereotypes are funny a lot of times. And there ARE ways of exploiting that humor without being racist.

A great example of that is the Canadian video game Guacamelee; which pretty much exploits every Mexican stereotype in the book without being racist.

I just wish people would stop being so offended about everything all the time.

Goat and A Pig - A Love Story

lindanimated:

So I watch a lot of cartoons. Both currently airing ones and ones which I rewatch for old time’s sake. I’m also quite good at noticing details. Imagine my delight when I realized that three of my favourite shows have already (unwittingly?) participated in the telling of a love story between two farm animals. Witness the courtship of a goat and a pig:

First they met at a party thrown by Manny and Grandpapi Rivera in the El Tigre episode “Fistful of Nickels”. They obviously were attracted to each other right away.

image

Then we skip a little bit further into their relationship, where they got married in the Gravity Falls episode “The Love God”. There was even a lovely little song about them (that I bet you can’t get out of your head).

image

Further down the road, we see that the couple’s relationship has been especially, well…fruitful. Creatures which can only be described as “pigoats” (or would it be “goapigs”?) are seen in the Star Vs. the Forces of Evil episode “Diaz Family Vacation”.

image

To make things even better, consider that these scenes happened sequentially in real life: the El Tigre episode was from about 2008, the Gravity Falls episode was from 2014, and the SVTFOE episode is very recent, from 2015. There’s no other explanation: IT’S TRUE LOVE.

catgirlfrottage: Rarity is the opposite of a snob though.

The thing about a generous personality is that you can’t give anything to people if you don’t have anything yourself.

So you go and muster all your ambition and aim for the highest goals, reach them, and then exploit the fuck out of what you’ve accomplished in life to benefit others. Because that is what’s precious to you, not the things you earn, but the ways in which you can give them.

The means to achieving a goal are so irrelevant in the greater order of things for you, you do not care what everyone thinks. In fact, you want them to have even that freedom to judge your actions, and enjoy it to the fullest.

Give all of yourself to others, be for love or for hate, all feelings are valid and important.

Resentment, now that is selfish.
