honestly? the fact that sakurai is still willing to pull off such bizarre ideas in a series as big as smash is amazing to me. the team is clearly putting so much heart into making something fun and there’s no reason they can’t have their own type of fun along the way.

and. it just kinda sucks that consumers just view game devs as a means to get the product they personally want, rather than creators making a game they want to create, y’know?

I feel like the moment sakurai loses passion for smash is the moment the series as we know it dies, and if adding a potted plant to the roster is what it takes for the team to enjoy themselves, then so be it! we must accept this leafy friend with open arms.
