Wait what happened? I thought everyone would be excited for a season 2?
Kadokawa fired the director, Tatsuki, shortly after the announcement of season 2. Tatsuki was the guy who took a no-budget tie-in anime for a mobile game that died before the anime even aired, poured his heart into it, and wound up delivering a surprise smash hit that not only revitalized the IP but also saved some zoos in Japan by getting people interested in seeing the animals. That Kadokawa saw fit to reward his work by handing season 2 off to someone else is basically a slap in the face, and the fans revolted. It only got worse when they had the voice actresses for PPP (the penguin idols) issue a damage-control apology without bothering to look into why the fanbase was revolting in the first place, making them seem even more out of touch.
If anyone’s interested, I’ll add some notes to this post about the dances, art styles and fashions depicted here.
(The 60s are doubled up because they changed so much from one end to the other and I couldn’t decide what to focus on.)
Day twenty-eight, burger time. I haven’t been eating out much in a effort to save money but when all this is wrapped up I think I’m gonna treat myself to a nice burg.
I saw this gif from the most recent episode and every time i looked at it i just wondered how ?? do they get their heads ??? so close ??? this was my logical response.
