I’ve been thinking about Pokemon Go and I have a…question or two.
So in a recent update for it, the following was stated:
So…what about Electric pokemon?
Am I gonna break into a power plant to get a fucking Voltorb or Electabuzz or something?
Ghost would be pretty easy. Cemetery attendance is gonna skyrocket.
Psychic? Uh…schools? idk
What about fire tho? Good luck visiting the nearest volcano for that Torkoal or Magmar you wanted.
In any case, I’ll be interested to see how they work this out without anyone, you know, dying.
What do you guys think? Where would you find your favorite type/pokemon?
Damn this got a lot of notes!
Well, for a blog like mine at least. :P
Even same types will have different places among themselves man, like I don’t mind going around museums for Honedge, Bastiodon and Bronzong, or finding some factories for Magnemite and Klink, hell I’m sure a car repair shop could do the trick for those; even a hike in the mountains for an Aggron and Skarmory seems fair.
But where am I supposed to find a canyon for Steelix and Metang? or a cave deep enough for Ferroseed and Durant?? and am I supposed to use my house keys to bait Klefki???
OPENING COMMISSIONS, PAY WHAT YOU WANT AS ALWAYS, BUT THIS TIME…
INDEFINITELY :y
That’s right folks, I’m officially making commissions (mostly) permanently open.
There are a few things I want to say here:
The backgrounds are always a pain to draw or make, but don’t worry, as those are at a fixed price. It’s your choice to have them or not :V
I’ll take the liberty of briefly closing if I get a humongous amount of work. This is to better manage my time.
All prices apply to all types of pieces, be it just a face-up, bust, mid-view or full body or panoramic, but take in account that the closer everything is, the more detailed it will be.
The STAND thing is actually like this little promo of mine; I’ll be making like little promotions every two months or so. If you like to watch Jojo’s Bizarre Adventure like yours truly, in the understanding that not everyone could be able to draw their stand, I’m offering to do that for you. However, the catch is that you must still create your stand, or at least make some quick doodle as a reference and include a color palette if possible. Here’s a reference post if you are mildly interested as well :)
Expect the unexpected
Well, now to not waste anymore of your precious time, here are the conditions for sending your commission request:
Must submit your request through submit page. Your submission must contain at least one image reference, preferibly something specific. You should also be clear and preferibly brief on describing what you want me to do because, to tell the truth, I’m bad at following instructions if the instructions themselves are not very clear (trust me, this has happened A LOT of times). Or you could just leave it at something like “draw Cortana!” and risk that I will do whatever I feel like at that moment :V
I can take both SFW and NSFW commissions, however, I won’t do things as MLP, male-on-male, vore, preggo, scat, mutilation fetishes, offensive stuff (things like racism, misogyny, SJW stuff) unless if its with the purpose of a constructive commentary
If you want to get in contact, you can use Tumblr’s IM. Its way more probable that I answer. I’m still reviewing alternative methods though.
I only accept payment first before starting any work, being PayPal the only way I can accept such payments. You shall be provided an email to which send your payment, and every transaction will be managed through invoices. In the case you are not able to send the payment, you can use the Donate button on my blog’s sidebar, but preferibly just send to email.
You can get a certain discount for every 5 workscommissioned. The discount depends on the type of commissions made over time though, ranging from 10% to 25%. If you think that it resets after exactly 5 commissions don’t worry, those are cumulative (just so you can get the most out of it :Y)
Please be patient. Your commission could take from a week to even a month (or more) depending on how complicated it is and how much of a workload I have. Luckyly, I haven’t had impatient people, but is always good to put it here.
Make the right choice. It is your decision, you get to live with it.
How’s this @bonmod? Not sure if I’m doing it right
Wow, this is really good, @lyratime! I’m glad @gearholder‘s tutorial is helping a lot of people!
Good, yes. But may want to tone it down with the thumb triangle’s pointiness. Give it a more obtuse angle y’know :T
Also the palm benefits greatly from a more narrow line at the wrist yo, I know I called it the Palm Rectangle but that square is just a poser man, it’s actually a trapezoid :Y
Ok so, let’s say this one fucker, and I’m not going to call out names, but his tumblr username rhymes with one of those Gearholder puns Pemmy and others send me sometimes (fuck you guys, btw), is doing @bonmod a hands tutorial, but he fucked up in them, and forgot to mention The Rule of Thumb. Well,I’m here to fix that mistake >:Y
See, the Rule of Thumb is simple, just don’t draw your thumb too long. Keep it within the palm rectangle. Like you see the purple phalange there? It doesn’t even graze the blue lines mannn, because thumbs don’t do that. Come on try it with your own, I dare you!! >:Y
Also the hand bump still works here, but in reverse, to make your hand wider. Still following the “<<” relation to the thumb’s base, but don’t go too crazy with it, this is just to add a bit of flesh to your wrist bones there.
Ok with that outta the way, another thing:
If you have trouble deciding how long your fingers should be, try doing them straight, and then bend them bone by bone. Again, this requires some tridimensional thinking.
Once you get the Bent Fingerlines™ down, you can give those bones some flesh, either by keeping on sketcin’ or going straight for the lineart like I did.
But whatever you choose to do I suggest you start with the foremost fingers, leaving the ones behind for last, this will help you avoid drawing lines you’ll end up having to erase anyway.
