I have AU backstory for all the main characters but p much Genji and Mercy met after an “accidental” fire at one of Genji’s house parties. Mercy, who was with the doctor on call, saved him.  Mercy is now a med student and Genji is the robotics T.A. They’re losers who date and study together.
